Choreography attributed to Irma Duncan. Danced by children in the Russian school circa 1922. Taught by Anita Zahn from the Elizabeth Duncan School and reconstructed by Hortense Kooluris.

An enactment of soldiering with a touch of humor at the end.

The children coped brilliantly with the difficult gymnastic movements. At the finale of the scene, the whole formation fell down instantly, just like lead soldiers drawn up in a row falling at the flick of a finger.
